Wednesday Women: Jade by Rose Montague

I have always been an urban fantasy reader and there is just something about a kick-ass heroine that appeals to me.  Last year an idea came to me about just such a character and in April I decided to write my first book.  I like vamps, shifters are cool, and witches are pretty much awesome.  The Fae are atractive as well.  What if my character had some of the talents of all of these?  How kick-ass can you get?  But what the heck!  How is that even possible, in even a fictional universe?  I guess you will have to read Jade to find out. 

It turns out that despite all her talents, Jade has some weaknesses as well.  She doesn't understand much about this relationship thing and she even chases the guy and ends up getting the girl instead.  My goal in writing Jade was to have fun writing a fun book to read and Jade is full of both action and humor.  I wanted the mystery of Jade to draw the reader in and I planned some big surprises along the way.

Towards the end of the book, all the shockers are revealed and the focus is more on the relationship between Jade and Jane, still with plenty of action and fun.  Jane is a powerful vampire and Jade and Jane team up with Jill, a powerful Fae.  They call themselves the three J'amigos.  Jade is a non-stop action and fun book, you won't see a chapter go by without something wild and crazy going down.  Eventually it all makes sense, but the fun part is getting there.

I am presently working on the second book in the series called Jane, the third and final book will of course be called Jill.  I can't wait to bundle them all up in a box set.
